FREE Phone Consultation
Consultations are provided to gather information about your child. Typically a consultation is warranted when a client has previously received an evaluation and diagnosis from a certified speech-language pathologist and requires treatment. The consultation serves to determine the most appropriate course of action to improve speech, language, and/or literacy.
Screening
Screenings are offered by appointment only or available during one of our screening events and are an affordable and convenient way to assess the progress of your child’s development. Screenings are generally take about 20 minutes. Parents will have the opportunity to ask the therapist questions and learn how they can support their child’s development. Screenings help determine if a child falls within the typical range of development as well as identify those in need of a more extensive evaluation. Following the screening, a short report outlining results will be provided.
Evaluation
Comprehensive evaluations are conducted when a client has not yet been diagnosed or treated or an evaluation is more than 6 months old. Evaluations include a variety of measures, consisting of standardized testing, parent or client interviews, and informal observation. The evaluation process will begin with the completion of an intake form. This can be sent to you via mail, or electronically for convenience. This information will help guide the selection of appropriate testing materials as well as providing background information, medical history, etc. Results will include recommendations as to whether therapy is warranted, as well as suggested frequency and duration of therapy sessions. A full report will be provided within a two week time period.
Therapy
Gulfcoast Therapies and Learning provides one-on-one speech, language, and literacy services to children of all ages. We strive to build speech and language skills through a variety of techniques and include family education as part of our therapy. Therapy sessions are typically 30-60 minutes in length, depending on the age and needs of the child. A short overview of skills addressed and home practice suggestions to allow for optimal carryover of skills learned will be provided at the end of sessions.

Our goal is to provide a cost-effective resource to the community while at the same time providing the highest quality speech and language evaluations and intervention services to our clients.
All fees are due at the time of the appointment and can be in the form of cash, check, or credit.

We are happy to provide a Superbill/Statement for those clients wishing to self-file with their insurance company and our services can go towards deductibles.
